I love to take photos. Lots and lots of photos. I always have. For me, a photo tells a story. I don’t much go for the posed shots. I want to see life in all its glory. Don’t look at me, rather, live your life. I love capturing all the little things. The details that are so easily missed, or more importantly, easily forgotten. I want to remember.
This is what I’m shooting with:
Nikon D50
35mm f/1.2
50mm f/1.8
18-200mm VR f3.5-5.6
Right now, most of my shots are SOOC (straight-out-of-camera). If I do post-process at all, it’s minimal (crop, red-eye, straighten) and it’s done in Picasa (it’s free).
I dream of Photoshop CS4. But first, I will learn PS Elements 6, which I currently have on my laptop.
It is officially the Year of Photography.
(not really, I made that up).
Anyhow, I have declared that this is the year that I master the technical. This is the year that I learn more in-depth post-processing. This is the year that I take it up a notch. My skills are a work in progress.
You can join me on my journey. Participate on this blog. Check out my photography blog.
If you’re interested in any of my prints, please just send me an email or leave a comment below. After I’m done jumping up and down, I will happily send you the requested print (assuming it’s not of my kids, because, well, that would be just weird).
Thanks for checking out my photos.
